Reed Sturtevant

Reed Sturtevant is a General Partner at Engine Ventures and Managing Director at Project 11 Ventures. Prior to assuming his current position in July 2023, he served as a General Partner at The Engine for six years and previously founded and directed the Techstars Boston accelerator program. His corporate tenure includes running Microsoft Startup Labs from 2007 to 2009, serving as Vice President of Technology at Idealab, and creating Freelance Graphics, which was subsequently acquired by Lotus Development Corp. Sturtevant currently holds board director seats at eight portfolio companies, including DBOS and Foundation Alloy, and has lectured on entrepreneurship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Olin College of Engineering. With over 40 years of executive experience in software development and company formation, his current investment strategy centers on science-based, tough tech startups.
