Rembrandt Donkersloot

Rembrandt Donkersloot is a Strategic IP Advisor at Rembrandt Patent Consultancy based in Leiden, The Netherlands. Prior to assuming this position in 2025, he served as an Investment Manager at the Dutch venture capital firm FORWARD.one, where he evaluated deeptech innovations across industrial technology, semiconductors, and climate tech. During his tenure in venture capital, he managed portfolio investments and participated in funding rounds alongside institutional investors such as InnovationQuarter Capital. Notably, his investment experience includes participating in a €4 million funding round for Villari, a startup developing industrial crack-detection sensor technology. Earlier in his career, he held roles within cultural institutions, including completing a Mellon Fellowship at the Mauritshuis in 2008. Donkersloot currently leverages his dual expertise in venture capital and intellectual property to advise founders and investors on complex deeptech and hardware innovation strategies.
