Renana Ashkenazi

Renana Ashkenazi is a Managing Partner at Grove Ventures based in Tel Aviv, Israel, where she oversees investments for an early-stage deep technology fund with $520 million in assets under management. Before entering venture capital, she served as a product and technical manager at Applied Materials and worked as an engineering research fellow at Northwestern University. Ashkenazi began her career as a technology officer and captain in the Israel Defense Forces' Unit 8200. She holds a master's degree in engineering from Northwestern University and a bachelor's degree from Tel Aviv University. In her current capacity, she directs capital toward Israeli startups and holds board positions with portfolio companies including Deepchecks, Teramount, Protai, and Ramon.Space. Her investment strategy primarily focuses on foundational deep technology sectors, specifically targeting artificial intelligence infrastructure, machine learning validation, cybersecurity, and advanced hardware.
