Rex Salisbury

Rex Salisbury is the Founder and General Partner of Cambrian Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University and previously worked as a Product Manager at Google from 2012 to 2017, where he contributed to Google Now and Assistant. Through Cambrian Ventures, Salisbury writes seed and pre-seed checks ranging from $100,000 to $2 million, building a portfolio of over 50 companies across various deep tech sectors. His track record features early backing of Cruise, which was acquired for $1 billion in 2016, alongside a recent March 2025 seed investment in a new AI robotics startup.
