Ricardo Schaefer

Ricardo Schaefer is the Managing Partner at VOX Capital, an early-stage impact investment firm based in São Paulo, Brazil. Before transitioning to venture capital, he co-founded the fintech company Facilita in 2008, leading the business until its acquisition in 2015. At VOX Capital, Schaefer oversees more than $100 million in assets under management and directs a portfolio of over 50 companies across Latin America. He recently led a $15 million Series A funding round for the climate tech startup Circular in March 2025 and maintains early advisory connections to major regional players like Nubank. A frequent speaker at events like Web Summit, he holds a degree in Business Administration from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado. Schaefer currently focuses on funding pre-seed to Series A startups operating in the fintech, healthtech, and climate tech sectors.
