Ricardo Schäfer

Ricardo Schäfer is the founder of Zone II Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm established following his departure from his previous partnership role. Prior to launching his own fund, he spent five years serving as a partner at Target Global, a ten-year-old venture capital firm headquartered in London. During his tenure at Target Global, the firm backed several highly valued European technology startups, building a prominent investment portfolio that includes fintech companies Revolut and Rapyd. The firm's investment strategy also extended into the corporate travel sector with backing for TravelPerk, contributing to the fund's broader European technology ecosystem footprint. Schäfer officially departed from Target Global in December 2024 to transition into independent fund management. His current professional focus centers on leading Zone II Ventures to identify and support early-stage technology enterprises across Europe.
