Richard Bovender

Richard Bovender is the Managing Partner and co-founder of Altitude Ventures, an early-stage healthcare venture capital investment firm based in Nashville, Tennessee. He established the investment firm in 2013 alongside key partners including Jay Zeidman and Landon Gibbs, while his father, notable healthcare executive Jack Bovender Jr., serves as an advisor. Under his leadership, the firm writes initial checks ranging from $100,000 to $5 million for emerging companies and has recently raised $48.4 million from 75 limited partners for its third flagship fund. Bovender has directed capital into numerous healthcare enterprises, building an active portfolio that includes Spiras Health, Nest Collaborative, and Mindoula through its strategic acquisition of 180 Health Partners. His current professional focus remains dedicated to identifying and scaling innovative startup companies across the digital health, health information technology, and hospital services sectors.
