Richard Fearn is a General Partner at SFC Capital based in London, England, where he oversees early-stage technology and software investments. Before his current role, he co-founded Seedcamp in 2007 and held positions at Index Ventures after earning a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford. At SFC Capital, Fearn manages over £500 million in deployable capital and has executed more than 100 investments, backing notable unicorns such as Checkout.com and Graphcore. In March 2025, he led the £110 million close of SFC Capital's Fund IV and subsequently directed investments into 15 new companies, including the artificial intelligence firm Evisi. His current focus remains on deploying pre-seed and seed capital into emerging startups across the software, financial technology, and deep tech sectors while actively shaping broader United Kingdom funding trends.
