Richard Gu

Richard Gu is a Vice President at March Capital, originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he focuses on evaluating new venture capital investments and providing strategic support to portfolio companies. Prior to his current position, Gu developed a strong empirical foundation across the digital media, e-commerce, and enterprise software sectors through several distinct corporate finance roles. His earlier professional career includes foundational experience in investment banking at Houlihan Lokey, as well as specialized private equity positions at both Sverica Capital and Rockbridge Growth Equity. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, completing his undergraduate degree with an academic minor in Chinese. Gu currently directs his primary investment focus toward the intersection of data and biological sciences, utilizing his extensive transactional background to evaluate complex technology markets.
