Richard Seibt

Richard Seibt is a Venture Partner at eCapital Entrepreneurial Partners based in Nuremberg, Germany. After earning a business degree from the University of Hamburg, he spent 20 years at IBM, eventually serving as General Manager for Germany. He subsequently held several prominent executive positions across the enterprise technology sector, including Chief Operating Officer at United Internet, Chief Executive Officer at SuSE Linux, and President of Novell EMEA. Since transitioning to an independent investor in 2006, Seibt has chaired the supervisory boards of multiple software companies, notably serving at Open-Xchange AG since April 2006 and Knowis AG since August 2009. Additionally, he founded and led the Open Source Business Foundation as chairman for 10 years. Drawing on his extensive corporate leadership experience, his current investment and advisory work focuses heavily on advancing open-source software initiatives and enterprise technology infrastructure.
