Richard Sun is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of alphaAI Capital, an investment technology company focused on automating systematic portfolio management and developing artificial intelligence driven trading strategies. He began his financial career as an investment banker at Barclays, where he advised institutional clients on complex corporate transactions, capital markets structuring, and large acquisitions. Sun subsequently transitioned to the buy side, joining a prominent San Francisco hedge fund to execute systematic investment approaches and implement institutional risk management frameworks across multiple asset classes. Drawing on this institutional experience, he spent several years independently researching, coding, and backtesting proprietary portfolio management models before officially launching the alphaAI platform. Today, Sun focuses on engineering quantitative investment strategies that utilize leveraged ETFs to provide a broader audience with direct access to disciplined, technology driven asset allocation and portfolio automation.
