Richard Wells

Richard Wells is a Managing Director at Insight Partners based in New York, New York. Since joining the venture capital firm in 2005, he has sponsored over 40 investments and realized 15 acquisitions and two successful initial public offerings across the application software, cybersecurity, and defense technology sectors. He currently serves on the board of directors for several prominent global enterprise technology companies, including Jama Software, OneTrust, CentralReach, Sonarsource, and Commercetools. Prior to joining Insight Partners, Wells worked in venture capital at Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV), where he evaluated software, online media, and e-commerce investments. His earlier corporate operational experience includes product management at Veritas Software and field sales at Paciolan Systems. With over two decades of professional industry experience, Wells focuses his current investment strategy on scaling high-growth infrastructure, DevOps, and SaaS businesses globally.
