Rob Goldman is a General Partner at Greylock Partners based in San Francisco, California. Before joining the venture capital firm in 2021, he served as Vice President of Growth at Meta from 2016 to 2021, where he directed user expansion strategies across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. His earlier operational experience includes leadership roles at Hunch, which was acquired by eBay in 2011, and Slide, which was purchased by Google. The Harvard University graduate also serves on Greylock's artificial intelligence advisory board, a position he assumed in January 2023. At Greylock, Goldman has built a portfolio of more than 20 early-stage companies, recently leading the firm's participation in a $500 million funding round for Perplexity AI in 2025. His current investment focus centers on seed and Series A opportunities within consumer internet, artificial intelligence, and enterprise software.
