Rob Tanakatsubo

Rob Tanakatsubo is a Managing Director and Deputy Head of Underwriting for Capital Markets Transactions at Monroe Capital, based in Chicago, Illinois. He joined the direct lending platform in 2014 and specializes in structuring complex finance deals and managing investment portfolios across the United States lower middle market. Prior to his current executive position, he served as an Assistant Vice President at Fifth Third Bank and worked as a Senior Analyst at MB Financial Bank. He originally began his professional financial career after earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Millikin University. His underwriting expertise spans a diverse range of industries, including healthcare, technology, sports, media, retail, venture debt, real estate, and structured credit. Tanakatsubo currently focuses on executing capital markets transactions and managing alternative credit investments for pre-seed, seed, and middle-market enterprises.
