Robert Abbott

Robert Abbott is a Partner and Senior Advisor at Norwest Venture Partners based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since joining the firm in 1998, he has accumulated over 25 years of venture capital experience following earlier engineering and product management roles at Silicon Graphics and IBM-ROLM. His investment portfolio includes notable exits such as Elemental Technologies, which was acquired by Amazon, KACE, which was acquired by Dell, and Passif Semiconductor, which was acquired by Apple. He currently holds board seats at Act-On Software and ClearDATA, having backed the latter with a $12 million investment in 2017, alongside a $4 million round for Vestaboard in 2020. Holding three degrees from Stanford University, Abbott maintains a primary investment focus on Series A and B rounds within the mobile, cloud, and enterprise IT infrastructure sectors.
