Robert Garland

Robert Garland is a Principal at New Enterprise Associates (NEA) based in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he specializes in early-stage enterprise software and financial technology investments. Prior to joining NEA in 2019, he served as an Investment Banking Associate at Morgan Stanley, where he executed over $1.5 billion in technology sector mergers and corporate acquisitions. Garland previously gained operational experience holding senior product management roles at Salesforce, directing a 25-person engineering team to deploy three major cloud infrastructure initiatives. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Garland currently leverages his dual background in institutional finance and enterprise product development to identify, fund, and scale high-growth software startups across global markets.
