Robert Hisaoka is the Chairman and CEO of RGH Capital, operating as an active venture investor and serial entrepreneur based in Washington, DC. After graduating from the University of Maryland Robert H Smith School of Business in 1979, he built his early career in public accounting before acquiring and turning around underperforming automotive dealerships. He sold his top-ranked dealership portfolio in 2006 to transition into venture capital, directing investments into disruptive technology startups like Mint House, Hungry Marketplace, and Precise Target. As a dedicated philanthropist and community leader, he maintains strong affiliations with the Economic Club of Washington, DC, the Inova Schar Cancer Institute, and the New Schools Venture Fund. Today, he continues to fund early-stage tech ventures while supporting educational entrepreneurship initiatives, including his funded speaker series and the Pitch Dingman competition at his alma mater.
