Robert R. Ackerman Jr.

Robert R. Ackerman Jr. is the Founder and Managing Director of AllegisCyber Capital and the Co-founder of DataTribe, operating primarily between Silicon Valley and Maryland. He established AllegisCyber in 1996, later raising the industry's first dedicated cybersecurity venture fund in 2015 to back early-stage enterprise technology startups. Prior to his 26-year venture career, Ackerman accumulated 22 years of operating experience as the President and CEO of UniSoft Systems and the Founder of InfoGear Technology Corporation, which was acquired by Cisco. His investment portfolio includes current stakes in companies like Dragos, alongside notable historical exits such as Bracket Computing to VMware and Comparnet to Microsoft. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of San Francisco, Ackerman currently focuses on providing seed capital and operational expertise to emerging cybersecurity and data science enterprises.
