Robert Schult

Robert Schult is a Managing Director at VMG Partners based in Irvine, California. He co-founded the private equity firm in 2005 alongside David Baram and Scott Case to invest in lower middle-market consumer product companies, helping raise a $375 million Fund II in 2011 and growing total assets under management to over $700 million. Prior to his career in private equity, he served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Nestle USA, where he oversaw major consumer brands across the food and beverage sectors. Schult also held executive leadership roles in academia, serving as the President of Claremont Graduate University from 2015 to 2017 before transitioning to its Board of Trustees. Leveraging his undergraduate education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, his career focuses on scaling branded consumer lifestyle, wellness, and personal care enterprises.
