Robert Vis is the Managing Partner at North Sea Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm based in Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands. Before establishing his current firm, he served as a Partner at Speedinvest from 2018 to 2023 and held earlier roles at the startup platform Golden Egg Check. Vis holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Groningen and currently manages funds with over €50 million in assets under management across a portfolio of more than 20 companies. In the first quarter of 2024, he launched the North Sea Ventures II fund with a €30 million target, recently leading an investment in the artificial intelligence startup Fabricate. His investment strategy primarily targets pre-seed and seed stage SaaS, fintech, and climate tech startups operating within the Benelux region and the broader European technology ecosystem.
