Roelof Opperman

Roelof Opperman is a Partner and Co-Head of Real Estate Technology Investment at Fifth Wall, a venture capital firm managing over $3 billion in assets, based in San Francisco. Before joining the firm in 2016, he served as a Senior Associate at Norwest Venture Partners and worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs, focusing on technology transactions. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University, where he graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. At Fifth Wall, he has directed capital into numerous proptech startups, managing strategic investments and holding board observer roles in portfolio companies such as SmartRent, VTS, and Doma. His current focus centers on identifying and scaling early-stage technology platforms that optimize commercial real estate operations, property management, and sustainable building infrastructure.
