Rohan Choukkar

Rohan Choukkar serves as the Vice President of Investments at Bharat Innovation Fund, an early-stage venture capital firm operating out of Bengaluru, India. In this capacity, he manages capital deployment for the firm's deep-tech portfolio, drawing from the Bharat Innovation Fund I, which successfully closed in May 2021, as well as the subsequent Fund II currently in the market. He evaluates intellectual property-driven startups across the hardtech and climate tech sectors, frequently collaborating with prominent ecosystem partners such as IIMA Ventures and Maker Village. Choukkar actively participates in specialized industry dialogues regarding energy storage and cybersecurity, having engaged with the CISO Platform in September 2021 and the CLIMAFIX Summit in September 2023. His current focus remains centered on identifying and financing early-stage Indian enterprises that leverage proprietary scientific research to address complex global challenges.
