Roman Saini

Roman Saini is the Co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Unacademy, an educational technology company based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Before launching the platform alongside co-founder Gaurav Munjal, he earned his MBBS from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi and briefly served as an Indian Administrative Service officer. Saini transitioned from a YouTube educator with over one million subscribers to overseeing product strategy for a platform that has amassed 100 million users and secured $440 million in funding. Under his leadership, Unacademy reached a $3.44 billion valuation in 2022 and introduced AI-powered tutoring features, navigating sector challenges that included a 250-person workforce reduction in March 2024. His current focus remains on scaling digital test preparation infrastructure and developing advanced educational content delivery systems for competitive exams.
