Sir Ronald Cohen is a London-based venture capitalist and the current Chairman of the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment. He previously co-founded Apax Partners in 1972, serving as its Executive Chairman and helping grow the private equity firm to manage more than $50 billion in global assets. Following his extensive tenure at Apax, Cohen shifted his primary focus toward social finance, co-founding Bridges Fund Management and Big Society Capital to direct institutional capital toward socially beneficial enterprises. He holds an undergraduate degree from Oxford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he later served on the Board of Dean's Advisors for several years. Today, his professional focus centers on advancing the global impact investing sector and developing standardized financial frameworks for measuring corporate environmental and social performance across international public and private markets.
