Ross Castillo

Ross Castillo is a Principal on the Biotech Private Investments Team at Wellington Management. Before joining the firm in 2022, he served as a Senior Associate at Novo Ventures from 2020 to 2022, where he evaluated deal flow and conducted due diligence on private therapeutics companies. Previously, Castillo held a similar Senior Associate role at the T1D Fund between 2017 and 2020, and he began his corporate career as a Consultant at Boston Consulting Group supporting pharmaceutical and medtech clients from 2016 to 2017. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Stanford University School of Medicine, during which he completed a Fulbright Scholarship focused on global health in Peru, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from UC San Diego. His current focus centers on evaluating therapeutic hypotheses and fundamentals to execute private biotechnology investments.
