Rowland Pettit

Rowland Pettit is an Associate at KdT Ventures and a clinical pathology resident at Harvard Medical School, currently based in Houston, Texas. Prior to his current dual roles in venture capital and medicine, he earned a Doctor of Medicine and a Doctor of Philosophy in Quantitative and Computational Biosciences from Baylor College of Medicine. He further expanded his academic credentials by completing a Master of Business Administration at Rice University and a Bachelor of Science degree in biophysics. His clinical training is conducted across the Mass General Brigham healthcare system, complementing his extensive doctoral research focused on advanced statistics, bioinformatics, and machine learning applications. As a physician-scientist, Pettit currently focuses on the intersection of medicine, artificial intelligence, and venture capital by developing multimodal foundation models and bridging complex academic research to practical startup applications.
