Roy Erez

Roy Erez is the Founding Partner at R-Squared Ventures, an early-stage venture fund based in Los Altos, California. Before launching the investment firm alongside co-founder Roy Rubin, Erez served as the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Loop Commerce, a fintech and retail technology company that successfully raised $30 million in venture funding. Following Loop Commerce's corporate acquisition by Synchrony in mid-2018, he assumed the roles of General Manager and Senior Vice President at the acquiring financial institution until his departure in 2020. The Columbia Business School graduate has since shifted to full-time venture investing, deploying capital checks ranging from $500,000 to $1.5 million and completing approximately 30 investments over a recent 18-month period. His current investment focus centers on backing early-stage startups operating within the fintech, artificial intelligence, enterprise software, and ecommerce enablement sectors.
