Royce Branning

Royce Branning is the co-founder and CEO of Clearspace, an enterprise data compliance platform based in San Francisco, California. Before establishing Clearspace, he held engineering leadership positions at Scale AI and worked as a software engineer at the autonomous vehicle startup Nuro. He previously studied computer science at Stanford University, developing a strong technical foundation in artificial intelligence and machine learning operations. Under his executive leadership, Clearspace secured a $12 million Series A funding round in June 2024 backed by Bessemer Venture Partners to expand its services for Fortune 500 clients in the finance and healthcare sectors. Following his presentation on data governance at the October 2025 AI Summit, the company launched its Clearspace Compliance Suite v2.0 in March 2026. Branning currently focuses on bridging complex data infrastructure with enterprise compliance needs for high-growth organizations.
