Ryan Breslow

Ryan Breslow is a Managing Partner at the venture capital firm Thrive Capital, operating out of San Francisco, California. Prior to assuming this investment role in June 2024, he studied computer science at Stanford University before dropping out to co-found the financial technology and employee benefits platform Bolt. Serving as Bolt's Chief Executive Officer from 2015 to 2022, Breslow scaled the enterprise to unicorn valuation status, securing over $1 billion in total funding with strategic guidance from early advisors such as Reid Hoffman. In his current capacity at Thrive Capital, he oversees a portfolio of more than $400 million in venture investments and recently directed a $50 million Series A allocation into the human resources startup Paytronix in March 2025. Breslow maintains a specialized professional focus on backing early-stage financial technology, human resources software, and consumer internet enterprises.
