Ryan D. Teksten

Ryan D. Teksten is the Director of Venture Investments at Leaps by Bayer, based in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, which he has held since February 2020, he evaluates technology proofs of concept and executes investments targeting transformative innovations in life sciences and agriculture. Before joining the corporate venture arm of Bayer, he spent over a decade as Managing Partner at Tabard Venture Capital and served as Managing Principal at Tabard Advisory Group starting in 2007. His earlier career includes working as a Senior Segment Lead at DigitalGlobe from 2008 to 2009, and serving as a Guest Lecturer at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University between 2010 and 2017. Teksten's current focus centers on directing capital toward early-stage biotechnology breakthroughs that address critical challenges in human and planetary health.
