Ryan Foss-Skiftesvik

Ryan Foss-Skiftesvik is a New York-based venture capitalist currently serving as a Partner at Animal Capital and the Founder and Managing Partner of Skifte Ventures. At Animal Capital, he helps manage a portfolio of 16 active companies that have collectively raised $2.8 billion, including investments in prominent startups like WHOOP and Colossal Biosciences. Before transitioning to venture capital, he worked in investment banking and held operational roles, including serving as an Executive in Residence at Brex and the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Wallplay. He holds degrees in finance and entrepreneurship from Fordham University and Southern Methodist University, and also acts as a Partner at Waterfall Capital. His current investment strategy focuses on early-stage opportunities across consumer technology, financial services, and health and wellness, leveraging extensive social media networks to accelerate portfolio growth.
