Ryan Hoover

Ryan Hoover is an investor and the founder of Weekend Fund, an early-stage venture capital firm, operating primarily between Los Angeles and Miami. He previously founded Product Hunt in 2013, scaling the discovery platform to over 1 million users and facilitating the visibility of more than 100 million products across 50,000 companies. Following Product Hunt's acquisition by AngelList, Hoover stepped down as chief executive officer to launch Weekend Fund in 2017, an investment vehicle now backed by over 350 operator limited partners. Before his entrepreneurial ventures, he worked as a product manager at the gaming company PlayHaven and later co-authored the business book Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products. His current professional focus remains on deploying capital to early-stage technology startups while publishing extensive editorial commentary on product development, startup ecosystems, and community building.
