Ryan McDonald

Ryan McDonald is a Principal on the healthcare and life sciences team at Summit Partners in Menlo Park, California. Before joining the firm in early 2024, he spent over a decade at Norwest Venture Partners, where he focused on healthcare investments and spearheaded the firm's Latin American deals. His investment portfolio includes Crossover Health, which was acquired by Gurnet Point Capital, Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers, which was acquired by TPG, and Mindful Health Solutions, where he joined the board of directors in 2021. Earlier in his career, McDonald worked in leveraged finance at Bank of America and Stifel Nicolaus, and he earned a bachelor of science degree in business management with an economics concentration from Babson College. His current focus remains on executing growth equity and venture capital investments across the healthcare and life sciences sectors.
