Ryan Newson

Ryan Newson is a Principal of Private Assets at Morgan Creek Capital Management, an alternative investment management firm originally founded by Mark Yusko. He joined the organization in 2021 as an Associate before advancing to his current role, where he is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing private equity and venture capital investments. His investment focus spans multiple technology and consumer sectors, specifically targeting artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data services, the internet of things, payments, robotics, food and beverage, and software-as-a-service. Newson holds a bachelor's degree in economics, which he earned between 2013 and 2016, and currently serves as a member of the IM Action Council at the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. Holding the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation, his current focus remains on deploying capital across private equity, venture capital, real estate, and infrastructure assets.
