Ryan O'Neil

Ryan O'Neil is the Founder and CEO of nextmv.io, a New York City-based optimization software company building tools for fast decision-making in logistics and vehicle routing. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Brown University and previously held early software engineering roles at Google and Optilogic. Under his leadership, nextmv.io secured more than $20 million in Series A funding, launched its Studio V2 platform in March 2025, and established a transportation management system integration partnership with Uber Freight. An expert in AI optimization and constraint programming, O'Neil frequently contributes to the operations research field, publishing in the INFORMS Journal on Computing and presenting research to his network of 5,000 LinkedIn followers. When he is not solving complex global supply chain challenges or programming in Go, he is a dedicated cat enthusiast and a fan of early music.
