Sakib Jamal is a Vice President at Crossbeam Venture Partners in New York, where he joined as the firm's first full-time employee and helped scale it to $280 million in assets under management across two funds. In his current capacity, he serves as a board observer for eight portfolio companies and has represented the firm with over fifteen founders as an investor or director. Before entering the venture capital industry, Jamal worked as an investment banking analyst in the Industrials Group at J.P. Morgan and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University. He also founded The Capsule, a South Asian news aggregator and podcast with over 23,000 subscribers, and authored "The Young VC's Handbook." His current investment focus centers on early-stage technology startups operating within platform economies, fintech, artificial intelligence, and enterprise software.
