Sam Ragsdale

Sam Ragsdale is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Merit Systems, a technology enterprise focused on developing advanced crypto and blockchain infrastructure. Prior to establishing this venture, he built his professional foundation at prominent technology and venture capital organizations, most notably Google and Andreessen Horowitz. During his tenure at a16z crypto, the dedicated digital asset fund of Andreessen Horowitz, Ragsdale evaluated early-stage investments and supported portfolio companies operating within the decentralized technology sector. This investment experience followed his earlier operational roles at Google, providing him with a dual perspective on enterprise software scale and venture-backed growth. Under his executive leadership, Merit Systems officially launched its inaugural infrastructure product, Echo, in 2025 to address complex technical demands within the digital asset ecosystem.
