Sam Steyer

Sam Steyer is the Head of Data Science at Halcyon, an emerging private climatetech company focused on developing data-driven sustainability solutions. Prior to joining Halcyon in late 2023, he co-founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of Greenwork, a climate workforce startup backed by Y Combinator as part of its Summer 2021 cohort. Steyer officially stepped down from his full-time executive role at Greenwork in November 2023, having previously established his expertise in the sector as the Co-founder and Head of Analytics at Station A. Outside of his entrepreneurial ventures, he acted as a surrogate speaker during the 2019 to 2020 presidential campaign of his father, the billionaire investor and environmentalist Tom Steyer. His career remains centered on leveraging advanced analytics and data science to scale emerging technologies within the broader climate and sustainability sectors.
