Sam Toole

Sam Toole is currently a Healthcare Partner at Primary Venture Partners, based in New York, NY. Before transitioning to the venture capital industry, he accumulated approximately ten years of entrepreneurial and operational experience across multiple early stage startups. Most recently, he served as the General Manager of Physician Marketplace for Nomad Health, where he helped lead the company's sales team from its initial seed stage through a successful Series B funding round. Earlier in his career, he directed sales efforts at the software consultancy Intrepid Pursuits in Boston and launched an independent direct to consumer lifestyle clothing brand. He also founded the business ACK Surf in Nantucket and earned his undergraduate degree from Hamilton College. Today, his primary investment strategy centers on early stage enterprise and healthcare innovation, emphasizing precision medicine and emerging healthcare payment models.
