Samara Hernandez

Samara Hernandez is the Founding Partner of Chingona Ventures, an institutionally-backed pre-seed venture capital fund based in Chicago, U.S. Prior to launching her own fund, she served as an investor at MATH Venture Partners, where she led investment review, due diligence, and deal execution for early-stage technology startups. Earlier in her career, Hernandez worked at Goldman Sachs, starting in the FICC group to lead technology projects across global exchanges before transitioning to financial product sales, where she ranked in the top five for sales performance. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. Her current investment focus centers on providing pre-seed capital to early-stage technology companies while actively expanding access for historically marginalized founders in the venture ecosystem.
