Sameer Nizamuddin

Sameer Nizamuddin is a Partner at Interlock Capital based in San Francisco, California. Joining the venture capital firm in March 2024, he helps manage over $200 million in assets under management and directs seed to Series A investments across a portfolio of more than 20 companies. Nizamuddin recently led a Q1 2025 investment in Commonwealth Fusion Systems and backs other climate and deep tech startups, including Sublime Systems and Antora Energy. Before transitioning to venture capital, he worked as an equity research analyst covering the software and fintech sectors at Jefferies. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School alongside a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania. His current investment focus centers on bridging traditional financial markets with emerging technologies in artificial intelligence infrastructure, enterprise software, and sustainability.
