Samir Kaul

Samir Kaul is a Founding Partner and Managing Director at Khosla Ventures, focusing on early-stage investments across artificial intelligence, health, and advanced technology. Before co-founding the firm, he worked at Flagship Ventures, served as the founding CEO of Codon Devices, and co-founded Helicos BioSciences. His investment portfolio includes successful initial public offerings for Guardant Health, Nutanix, and QuantumScape, alongside active stakes in companies like Impossible Foods. Earlier in his career, he led the Arabidopsis Genome Initiative at Craig Venter’s Institute for Genomic Research and authored seven peer-reviewed genomics papers. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a BS from the University of Michigan, and serves on the board of The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
