Samir Mitragotri

Samir Mitragotri is a Venture Partner at Catalio Capital Management and a Professor of Bioengineering at Harvard University, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from MIT and previously served as a Chair Professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara. As a highly cited researcher, he has authored over 400 peer-reviewed publications with more than 81,000 citations, holds over 300 patents, and is an elected member of the National Academy of Engineering, the National Academy of Medicine, and the National Academy of Inventors. Mitragotri has co-founded more than 12 life sciences companies, including CAGE Bio and i2o Therapeutics, which received funding from Sanofi Ventures to develop innovative oral drug delivery technologies. His current focus centers on advancing targeted drug delivery systems, biomaterials innovation, and successfully commercializing academic research within the healthcare sector.
