Saner Cakir

Saner Cakir is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Trace, a technology company focused on developing reliable artificial intelligence systems for high-stakes applications. He previously studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley, where he contributed to multiple academic publications in robot learning and computer vision as a researcher at the Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research (BAIR) Lab. Prior to establishing Trace, Cakir co-built an AI-powered copilot designed specifically for medical professionals and surgical teams. This specialized software system was actively utilized to assist surgeons during complex cardiothoracic procedures at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) medical center.
