Sanjay Shah

Sanjay Shah is a co-founder and investor at Electric Capital based in San Francisco, California, where he specializes in early-stage cryptocurrency and blockchain investments. Before establishing the firm alongside Avichal Garg, he worked as a software engineer at Google and served as an investor at Bain Capital Ventures. At Electric Capital, which manages over $1 billion in assets, Shah oversees a portfolio of more than 100 investments, including prominent unicorns such as LayerZero and EigenLayer. He recently led a $50 million Series A funding round for a major blockchain scaling project in early 2025 and co-authored the firm's annual Developer Report, which tracked over 30,000 active ecosystem contributors.
