Sanmi Olukanmi

Sanmi Olukanmi is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Shekel Mobility, a financial technology startup focused on the African automotive sector. Over the past decade, he has established and successfully exited multiple mobility enterprises that generated an average of $900,000 in annual recurring revenue. At Shekel Mobility, Olukanmi directs business strategy, sourcing, and growth initiatives to provide embedded financing solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises, maintaining a verified record of zero loan defaults to date. Under his leadership, the company secured backing from the prominent technology startup accelerator Y Combinator as part of its Winter 2023 cohort. Prior to his extensive entrepreneurial career in the automotive industry, he studied Engineering Physics at Obafemi Awolowo University. His current professional focus remains on expanding purchasing power and systemizing automotive supply chains across emerging African markets.
