Sara Nayeem

Sara Nayeem is the Executive Vice President of Investments at Enavate Sciences, based in Maryland. Before joining Enavate, she co-founded Avoro Ventures in 2021 and spent twelve years as a Partner at New Enterprise Associates, focusing on biopharmaceutical investments. She began her career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch before earning concurrent MD and MBA degrees from Yale University. Over her nearly twenty-year venture capital career, Nayeem has managed twenty-eight investments that resulted in eleven initial public offerings and ten acquisitions generating over $16 billion in upfront payments. She currently serves on the board of Normunity, acts as a board observer for Aviceda Therapeutics, and advises the Blavatnik Fund for Innovation at Yale. Her current focus remains on portfolio strategy and the evaluation of partner companies advancing novel drug development and medical innovation.
