Sarah Drinkwater

Sarah Drinkwater is a London-based investor and the General Partner at Common Magic, an early-stage venture capital firm focused exclusively on European startups. Previously, she served as a Director at the philanthropic investment firm Omidyar Network, where she directed the Tech and Society Solutions Lab and managed a multi-million dollar portfolio. Before her transition to venture capital, Drinkwater spent nearly six years at Google, notably serving as the Head of Google Campus London, supporting a physical community of over 85,000 technology founders and entrepreneurs. As an active angel investor, she has personally backed more than 30 early-stage companies across Europe, focusing primarily on community-driven platforms, consumer technology, and future-of-work applications.
