Satish Dharmaraj

Satish Dharmaraj is a Managing Director at Redpoint Ventures, where he focuses on early-stage technology investments. Before transitioning to venture capital as an entrepreneur partner in 2009, he founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of Zimbra, leading the software company until its $350 million acquisition by Yahoo! in 2007. His earlier operational experience includes vice president and general manager roles at Sun Microsystems, Openwave, and IBM. As an institutional investor, Dharmaraj has backed prominent technology companies including Snowflake, Pure Storage, and Zendesk, and he facilitated the $200 million sale of Acompli to Microsoft. His successful track record of enterprise software investments earned him the number five spot on the 2024 Forbes Midas List. Dharmaraj currently directs his investment strategy toward early-stage startups operating within the artificial intelligence, enterprise infrastructure, and cybersecurity sectors.
