Prior to his current leadership positions, Gates held technical engineering roles at prominent technology companies including Rivian and eBay. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems cum laude from the Oregon Institute of Technology and an Associate of Applied Science in Networking from Pioneer Pacific College. Alongside his corporate engineering leadership, he operates as a co-founder and advisor for early-stage startups while actively contributing to developer communities like Stack Overflow. His current professional focus centers on bridging hands-on technical delivery with venture building and broader technology ecosystem development.
